Job summary

Global Steering Systems Holdin seeks a skilled maintenance electrician to perform repair and preventive maintenance on plant machinery and electrical systems. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical wiring, lighting and control systems across the facility.

The role requires reading PLC ladder logic, adhering to electrical codes, and ensuring safe, reliable operation. Five years of on‑the‑job experience and an E2 license are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of electrical schooling minimum.
• Five years of on‑the‑job electrical training preferred.
• E2 License required.
• Ability to read PLC ladder logic and troubleshoot PLCs.
• Extensive knowledge of National and Local electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks in repair and maintenance of machinery and building equipment.
• Install, troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems on plant equipment and lighting.
• Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and hand tools; locate and fix breakdowns.
• Inspect electrical systems and ensure compliance with codes and safety practices.
• Execute wiring plans for lighting, intercom and other electrical systems; install electrical fixtures.
• Read blueprints and wiring diagrams to complete assigned projects.
