Job summary

JLL is seeking an Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across large-scale manufacturing facilities. The role focuses on maximizing uptime and safe operation of power distribution, with hands-on responsibility for installation, maintenance, and diagnostics.

The position requires reading schematics, OSHA knowledge, and the ability to work in a dynamic team environment. On-site Lake Orion, MI, with union operations and varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or state equivalent.
• Two years of electrical trade schooling or equivalent training/apprenticeship.
• Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent industrial certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/instrumentation/control systems in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and local electrical codes.
• Physically able to operate hand tools, ladders, and lift heavy loads.
• Available for call-in work 24 hours/day and able to work in all weather.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, and off-schedule hours.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/instrumentation/control systems in large manufacturing facilities.
• Plan and execute assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment and power distribution systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics to diagnose faults.
• Anticipate electrical problems and take proactive actions to maximize facility uptime.
• Document work in CMMS with hours and completion details.
• Interact with clients and maintenance staff to ensure safe, compliant completion of tasks.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with safety rules.
