Job summary

Murrelektronik North America is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and automated machinery in a Georgia manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, be able to read schematics, and work independently while collaborating with Operations, Engineering, and Production teams. Safety and continuous improvement are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certificate or equivalent in Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical control systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Knowledge of motors, motor controls, sensors, relays, contactors, VFDs, and industrial electrical components.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Install, modify, and test electrical components, motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.
• Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation, and equipment modifications in accordance with applicable electrical codes and company standards.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, relocations, and capital improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and repair documentation.
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety requirements, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that improve equipment reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.
• Perform other maintenance duties and special projects as assigned.
