Job summary

Rite-Hite is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and optimize industrial electrical systems and automated machinery. You will diagnose and repair electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure compliance with NEC and safety standards.

The role requires a strong electrical troubleshooting background, ability to read schematics and blueprints, and collaboration with engineering and production teams. Weekend/overtime availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial electrician or maintenance technician.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical control systems, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Proficiency with electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and meggers.
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems is a plus.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, electrical schematics, and blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, or overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and repair electrical malfunctions in equipment, controls, and components.
• Work with electrical systems including 480V 3-phase and lower voltages, motor controls, drives (AC/DC), and servo systems.
• Execute online troubleshooting of PLCs and other industrial automation.
• Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Inspect and test electrical systems and components to identify potential issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to perform maintenance.
• Install, support, and integrate new electrical equipment and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to address issues and maintain records in CMMS.
• Adhere to safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and PPE.
