Job summary

Insteel Industries is seeking an Electrical Technician to install, maintain, and repair machinery and electrical systems in our heavy manufacturing environment. You will work on 24V–480V systems, troubleshoot drives, and read electrical schematics to ensure quality and performance.

The role requires a broad technical background, at least two years of experience, and a commitment to safe practices such as Lockout/Tagout. Second or third shift availability is noted.

Qualifications

• Broad Technical training with high school plus 1–2 years apprenticeship or trades training.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as Electrical Technician in manufacturing.
• Experience with CMMS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and machinery in a heavy manufacturing setting.
• Inspect equipment and diagnose electrical problems, including 24V–480V systems.
• Follow safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout and Arc Flash.
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Operate electrical diagnostic tools like volt/ohm meters.
