Job summary

Sterling Steel Company is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to ensure safe, reliable operation of electrical systems in a heavy manufacturing setting. You will inspect, repair, and maintain electrical equipment across plant areas, with emphasis on safety and uptime.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, reading drawings, calibrating instruments, and supporting project start-ups. Candidates should have 5+ years of related experience and strong English communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years maintenance electrician experience in manufacturing.
• Must read/write English; communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of Crane signals.
• Familiar with Programmable Logic Controllers & Analog Circuits.
• Calibrations of flow, temp & pressure transmitters; basic networking.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble, and lubricate electrical equipment.
• Make temporary or permanent repairs to motors, generators, panels, relays, and control systems.
• Repair cranes and related electrical systems.
• Follow instructions for scheduled and emergency repair work.
• Inspect equipment and power lines for wear or faults; assess lubrication and vibration.
• Diagnose faults using testing equipment and experience.
