Job summary

Amteck, a national Top 50 Electrical Design-Build Contractor, is expanding its Service division and seeking Electrical Maintenance Technicians.

The Electrical Maintenance Technician performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in industrial and manufacturing environments. This role supports uptime, safety, and reliability while following NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial electrical installations.
Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.
High proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing in accordance with NFPA 70B, OEM specifications, and NETA standards.
Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat signatures and potential electrical faults.
Complete visual inspections of electrical components, wiring, and connections to identify wear, contamination, or damage.
Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment to ensure proper performance and longevity.
Perform electrical testing on power distribution systems, control equipment, and motors to verify proper functionality.
Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, test results, corrective actions, and recommendations.
