Job summary

Amteck, a national leader in electrical design‑build, is hiring Electrical Maintenance Technicians for industrial environments. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, ensuring NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards are met to maintain uptime and safety.

The role emphasizes servicing power distribution equipment, motors, controls, and related components while adhering to safety protocols, conducting inspections, and documenting results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Strong understanding of NEC rules and NFPA 70E/70B.
• Ability to travel up to 100% of the time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documentation and customer interaction.
• Ability to read construction documents and electrical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing according to NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat and faults.
• Inspect electrical components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
• Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for reliability.
• Test power distribution systems, control equipment, and motors for proper function.
• Assess equipment and environment to identify maintenance risks and improvements.
• Apply safety procedures including LOTO and arc-flash awareness.
• Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections and actions.
• Communicate with customers, supervisors, and team members on work performed.
• Enforce company and site safety requirements; incidents are preventable.
