Job summary

Reading Truck is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform skilled work in the construction, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic equipment used in industrial applications.

Responsibilities include installing new electrical equipment, reading schematics, performing medium voltage switching, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations while collaborating with a team of coworkers.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical trade equipment, materials and practices.
• Understanding health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Familiarity with codes, policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of electronic theory and PLC operation.
• Ability to read diagrams and prints, and update them as needed.
• Strong communication and independent work ability.
• Experience with PLC-based equipment installation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and overhaul electrical and electromechanical equipment.
• Install new electrical gear per NEC and company standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems and equipment.
• Prepare and install conduits and wiring.
• Perform medium voltage switching and operate generators.
• Read and update technical diagrams and prints.
• Follow clearance standards and safety regulations.
• Work safely and cooperatively with teammates.
