Job summary

Chief Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to perform advanced maintenance and repair of facility and industrial equipment, install new machinery, design electrical systems, program PLCs, and document activities.

You will read blueprints, operate forklifts and cranes, adhere to OSHA safety standards, and contribute to safety programs while working with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial setting.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Proficient with pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs, and VFDs.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and workplace safety protocols.
• Welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and efficiency in all tasks and support the safety program.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Install, modify, and maintain machinery and systems for optimal performance.
• Read blueprints, schematics, micrometers, calipers, and wiring diagrams.
• Perform construction, plumbing, and carpentry work to support repairs.
• Work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.
• Complete paperwork and enter data into computer systems.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment.
