Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems in industrial/manufacturing environments. The role requires adherence to NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards to ensure reliability, safety, and uptime of facility electrical infrastructure.

You will service power distribution equipment, motors, and controls while documenting findings and maintaining compliance with safety systems and procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
• Ability to develop preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.
• High proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment.
• Interpreting and applying arc-flash studies and safety protocols.
• Extensive knowledge of NEC rules and OSHA NFPA 70E/70B.
• Strong scheduling and reporting skills for maintenance activities.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B and NETA standards.
• Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat signatures and faults.
• Complete visual inspections of electrical components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
• Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for performance and longevity.
• Test power distribution systems, control equipment, and motors for proper function.
• Assess equipment condition to identify maintenance risks and improvements.
• Follow lockout/tagout and arc-flash safety procedures.
• Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices at the site.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, test results, and actions taken.
• Identify and mitigate issues to minimize downtime and costs.
• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members.
