Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking an Electrical/Controls Technician to maintain and enhance electrical and control systems in food manufacturing equipment. You will document work, diagnose issues with the help of mechanics, and lead Electro-Mechanics across shifts as needed.

The role requires adapting to scheduled downtime, performing inspections, and executing preventive and corrective maintenance on PLC networks, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and process controls.

Qualifications

• AS/AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• High school/military training and practical experience in machine and electrical control system installation.
• Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software, as well as preventive maintenance software, is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems design documentation.
• Ability to perform basic and advanced mathematical calculations, converting units of measurement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current documentation for all electrical and control systems.
• Assist Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics in diagnosing and resolving electrical or control-related issues.
• Provide training and coordinate activities of Electro-Mechanics across all shifts as needed.
• Occasionally work offsite to support equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections safely while equipment is operational.
• Perform preventive, scheduled, or corrective maintenance on batching and continuous process control systems.
