Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of electrical and control systems in food manufacturing environments. The role involves documentation, diagnostics, and coordination of electro-mechanics across shifts to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities include preventive and corrective maintenance on process control networks, drives, and instrumentation, with occasional offsite assignments.

Qualifications

• AS/AAS in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
• High school or military training with practical experience in machine and electrical control system installation.
• Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens and Mitsubishi software; preventive maintenance software preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control system design documentation.
• Knowledge of control system projects: machine layout, control drawings, P&ID, basic troubleshooting for AB-Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi.
• Ability to perform basic and advanced mathematical calculations; convert units.
• Competent in completing forms detailing maintenance work.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting work orders, manuals, and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current documentation for all electrical and control systems.
• Assist Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics in diagnosing electrical or control-related issues.
• Provide training and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts as needed.
• Occasionally work offsite to support equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ensure production equipment is maintained according to the production schedule.
• Perform preventive, scheduled, or corrective maintenance on process control systems including networks, drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
• Keep accurate work records and follow safety and GMP standards.
• Travel for parts procurement or training as needed.
