Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance Electrician/Control Technician to support food manufacturing equipment. The role focuses on maintaining electrical and control systems, diagnosing issues, and keeping documentation up to date.

You will work with mechanics and Electro-Mechanics across shifts, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and related networks, and ensure compliance with GMP and safety standards.

Qualifications

AS/AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience.
High school/military training with practical field experience in machine and electrical control systems.
Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software.
Ability to read electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control system design docs.
Experience with preventive maintenance software and work order systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain current documentation for electrical and control systems.
Assist mechanics in diagnosing and resolving electrical or control issues.
Provide training and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across all shifts.
Perform preventive, scheduled, or corrective maintenance on batching and process control systems.
Keep accurate work records and adhere to GMP, safety, and quality standards.
Carry out offsite troubleshooting and parts procurement as needed.
