Job summary

Electrical Automation Services seeks a Maintenance Electrician to sustain electrical and control systems in our food manufacturing environment. You will document controls, diagnose electrical issues, and coordinate Electro-Mechanics across shifts.

Occasional offsite trouble-shooting, adherence to GMP and safety standards, and proactive downtime maintenance are expected. You will work with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi platforms, interpreting drawings, and performing preventive and corrective

Qualifications

AS/AAS degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
High school/military training and practical experience in a related field.
Familiarity with Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi software, as well as preventive maintenance software, is preferred.
Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems design documentation.
Working knowledge of control system projects, including machine layout, control drawings, P&ID, and basic troubleshooting for A/B-Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi.
Ability to perform basic and advanced mathematical calculations, converting units of measurement.
Competent in completing forms detailing maintenance work performed.
Proficient in reading and interpreting work orders, operating manuals, and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

Maintain current documentation for all electrical and control systems.
Assist Mechanics and Electro-Mechanics in diagnosing and resolving electrical or control-related issues.
Provide training and coordinate the activities of Electro-Mechanics across all shifts as needed.
Occasionally work offsite to support equipment troubleshooting and repairs.
Ensure production equipment is maintained according to the production schedule.
Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections safely while equipment is operational.
Address repairs during downtime following company and vendor specifications.
Work independently or with a mechanic to rectify equipment failures and restore production promptly.
Complete tasks in accordance with government regulations, GMP, safety standards, quality control measures, and company procedures.
Perform preventive, scheduled, or corrective maintenance on batching and continuous process control systems (networks, AC/DC and servo drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components).
Maintain secondary systems for steam, hot/chilled water, pneumatic air, electrical power, refrigeration, HVAC, and emissions control.
Keep accurate work records in accordance with work orders, backlog, and job assignment systems.
Carry out other assigned duties, including travel for parts procurement, training, or additional responsibilities.
Aim to enhance quality, legality, and safety of products and processes.
Ensure the assigned work area is clean and organized and report contamination or suspicious activities.
