Job summary

Elyria & Hodge Foundries is seeking an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician for the first shift to maintain and repair electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will diagnose electrical issues, read schematics, work with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC/R, and use CMMS to manage work orders and spare parts while upholding safety standards.

Strong teamwork and proactive problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing facilities with electrical maintenance.
• Knowledge of schematics/blueprints, PLCs, HVAC/R, hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Hands-on diagnostics with voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters and multimeters; high/low voltage safety.
• Troubleshoot complex equipment using engineering methods; welding and mechanical know-how.
• CMMS experience for work orders and spare parts management.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex machinery using schematics and blueprints.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems with precision meters; ensure safety for high/low voltage.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC/R and mechanical components.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems, hydraulic circuits and motor controls; implement repairs.
• Use CMMS to document work orders and track parts inventory.
• Operate stick welding equipment for fabrication tasks and assist upgrades following safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols for high voltage electrical work and read electrical schematics.
• Support safe operation of scissor lifts and other equipment; collaborate to reduce downtime.
