We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team on first shift. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities
- Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex machinery and systems, including electrical blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems using precision measuring instruments such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters, ensuring high voltage and low voltage systems operate safely and efficiently.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on industrial equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC/R systems, and mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic systems, hydraulic circuits, and motor controls to identify root causes of failures and implement effective repairs.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to document work orders, track maintenance activities, and manage spare parts inventory.
- Operate stick welding equipment for repairs requiring welding or fabrication tasks.
- Assist with equipment upgrades or modifications following engineering troubleshooting procedures and safety standards.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to high voltage electrical work, electrical blueprint reading, and industrial mechanic practices.
- Support the safe operation of scissor lifts and other industrial equipment as needed for maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to improve maintenance processes, reduce downtime, and enhance overall plant reliability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in manufacturing facilities or industrial environments with a strong background in electrical maintenance.
- Knowledge of electrical systems including schematics, blueprints, PLCs, HVAC/R systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components.
- Hands-on experience with electrical diagnostics tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters; familiarity with high voltage and low voltage systems is essential.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment issues efficiently using engineering troubleshooting techniques.
- Skilled in welding (stick welding preferred), equipment repair, and mechanical knowledge related to industrial maintenance.
- Experience operating CMMS software for work order management is highly desirable.
- Valid certification or demonstrated experience in industrial electrician work or industrial mechanic roles.
- Strong analysis skills coupled with customer service orientation to effectively communicate technical information to team members.
- Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
- Physical capability to operate scissor lifts safely; comfortable working at heights when necessary.
