M.J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, is seeking a talented Junior Estimator to join our industrial team. This role supports cost estimating for nationwide electrical construction projects, focusing on quality and accuracy.

You will review drawings, perform take-offs, assist with scoping, and help develop schedules. We value independence, timely delivery, and strong communication as you collaborate with project teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Ability to anticipate and meet internal customer needs.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 1–3 years estimating or field experience preferred; training offered.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specs to prepare project estimates.
• Perform labor and material take-offs and cost history analyses.
• Assist in scoping projects for engineering, construction, and contractual needs.
• Develop construction and billing schedules.
• Build historical cost databases and tools for estimates.
• Evaluate subcontractor, equipment, and material pricing by location.
• Attend pre-bid meetings at project locations.
• Visit sites to time-study tasks.
