Confident Search Consultants is seeking an Electrical Application Engineer who thrives at the intersection of engineering, sales, and customer success. You will work directly with customers from concept to deployment, translating requirements into practical, field-ready solutions.

This hands-on role requires collaboration across engineering, sales, and product development, with travel to client sites and strong emphasis on clear technical communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of technical field or applications engineering experience.
• Experience in oil & gas, mining, power generation or heavy industrial environments.
• Familiarity with sensor technologies and industrial networks.
• Knowledge of Modbus, 4–20mA and relay logic.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep expertise in products, technologies, and applications across industrial markets.
• Partner with sales to understand customer requirements and recommend solutions.
• Translate customer needs into practical, manufacturable system solutions.
• Configure standard products to meet application-specific requirements.
• Design customized solutions incorporating internal and third-party technologies.
• Perform engineering calculations and technical analyses to support recommendations.
• Serve as primary technical contact for customers through sales and implementation.
• Clearly communicate capabilities and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Create drawings, documentation, specifications, and training materials.
• Support system design, testing, installation, and startup activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment and systems in field, phone, and remote support.
• Provide technical training to customers, sales teams, and stakeholders.
• Test equipment to verify performance against specs.
• Feedback on product performance and potential improvements.
