Job summary

Job Juncture seeks a Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist in Philadelphia to ensure regulatory compliance and support site safety programs. You will manage environmental permits and lead risk assessments, investigations, and continuous improvement across EHS initiatives.

The role requires 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing setting, a bachelor's degree in a related field, and strong knowledge of EPA, DOT, PA DEP, and OSHA requirements. ISO 14001/45001 familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental, Safety, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering/Science field.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations (EPA, DOT, PA DEP, OSHA).
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies (JHA/JSA, FMEA, PHA).
• Experience conducting incident investigations and implementing corrective actions.
• Familiarity with core safety programs (LOTO, confined space, hazard communication, machine safety).
• Project management, planning & organization skills; ability to work independently.
• Experience with PSM, PHAs, and ISO 14001/45001 systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain programs to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations (EPA, PA DEP, DOT, OSHA).
• Manage environmental permits, reporting obligations, and regulatory documentation; serve as contact during inspections.
• Lead or support risk assessments (JHA/JSA, FMEA, PHA) and integrate process safety into design and changes.
• Lead investigations of safety incidents and environmental releases; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support and improve safety programs (LOTO, confined space, hazardous communication, machine safety).
• Conduct site inspections and audits; partner with operations to reduce risk while maintaining efficiency.
• Manage handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous/non-hazardous materials; assist waste programs.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and emergency response planning; foster proactive safety culture.
