Job summary

EnerSys is seeking an EHS Safety Specialist to support a safe, compliant workplace across multiple plants. You will partner with staff to identify risks, implement controls, and drive continuous improvement in safety, health, and environmental programs.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene expertise, and proactive risk management, with focus on learning and performance improvement across operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health & safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, engineering, or related field.
• Equivalent education and relevant experience may be considered.
• OSHA 30-Hour Certification, ASP or CSP preferred.
• Experience in lead exposure management and respiratory protection programs.
• Ability to interpret exposure data and develop actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain EHS programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate exposure monitoring, medical surveillance, and recordkeeping.
• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver EHS training and facilitate safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Support emergency planning, drills, and contractor safety management.
