Weave Robotics, Inc. in San Francisco seeks an experienced Industrial Designer to shape the physical form and experience of our home robots, from sketch to production. Qualifications

• 5+ years of industrial design work in consumer electronics, robotics, or other complex physical products.

Responsibilities

• Own industrial design: Lead the industrial design of Weave's robotic products from concept through production.
• Drive form and surface development: Translate design intent into production-ready 3D geometry, with a high standard for surface quality, continuity, proportion, transitions, gaps, and part relationships.
• Own CMF development: Define materials, colors, textures, finishes, graphics, and softgoods in partnership with engineering and manufacturing, including development of production samples and appearance standards.
• Prototype rapidly: Generate and evaluate concepts through sketching, CAD, physical prototypes, and iterative experimentation.
• Design for production: Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and robotics engineers to balance aesthetics, functionality, manufacturability at scale, serviceability, and reliability. Partner with suppliers and manufacturing engineering through tooling, color/material matching, first articles, cosmetic reviews, and production ramp to preserve design intent.
• Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with engineering, software, and UI & Interaction design to create seamless experiences across physical and digital touchpoints.
