Join Us, and Ship Robots

Weave was founded to build the robots we’d want to have in our own home. We believe the next generation of robotics will transform everyday life by enabling people to do more and to reclaim time to spend on what’s important.

Join Us, and Ship Robots

Weave was founded to build the robots we’d want to have in our own home. We believe the next generation of robotics will transform everyday life by enabling people to do more and to reclaim time to spend on what’s important.

We also believe robots are in a sense like any other product: to matter, they have to ship. Our robots are already operating in real homes and businesses, giving us the opportunity to rapidly improve from real‑world experience. With a growing team, strong customer demand, and capital for expansion, we’re entering an exciting stage of growth—and we’re looking for people with exceptional talent and standards to help bring home robotics to millions of households.

The Role

Every interaction a customer has with Weave—from our website, to the mobile app, to the robot itself—shapes how they understand and trust our technology. We’re looking for a designer who can create thoughtful and intuitive digital experiences that make sophisticated technology feel approachable, easily understood, and delightful.

As one of our first designers, you’ll define the visual language and interaction patterns across the entire Weave ecosystem. You’ll work closely with industrial design, robotics, and software engineering teams to design consumer applications, public web presence, and business‑facing tools. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role with significant ownership: you’ll help establish not only what we build but how we imbue our values into every digital asset we ship and use, ourselves.

Responsibilities
  • Build our design language: Establish and maintain a design system that creates consistency across products, marketing, and customer touchpoints and device platforms.
  • Design our digital presence: Own the design and evolution of Weave’s public website and customer‑facing applications, ensuring they communicate our technology, values, and brand with clarity and polish.
  • Craft delightful experiences: Go deep on everything from navigation and information architecture to motion, animation, and micro‑interactions (both reactive and reactive) that make the product feel intuitive and exciting.
  • Prototype and iterate: Rapidly explore concepts, gather feedback, and refine designs based on technical constraints and user insights.
  • Craft new interaction paradigms: Design novel interfaces that help users understand, configure, and interact with autonomous robots. You’ll partner with industrial design and engineering to create paradigms that cohere with the robot’s evolving industrial design, as well.
  • Support internal products: Apply the same attention to usability and visual quality to business‑facing applications used by customers, operations, manufacturing, and support teams.
What You’ll Bring
  • Exceptional design experience: 5+ years designing high‑quality consumer software products with a portfolio demonstrating elegant interaction design and visual craftsmanship.
  • Strong UX fundamentals: Deep understanding of user‑centered design, interaction design, information architecture, and usability principles. You’ll sweat details on everything from 3D visualization to typography, layout, color, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
  • Systems thinking: Experience creating and evolving scalable design systems across multiple products and platforms.
  • Collaborative mindset: Comfortable partnering closely with engineering, software, hardware, and operations throughout implementation to identify requirements.
  • Rapid prototyping: Experience using modern design and prototyping tools to communicate ideas and validate concepts.
  • Innate curiosity: Vision and enthusiasm for the potential of home robotics and designing user experience for products operating in the physical world.
Nice to Have
  • Experience designing interfaces for robotics, AR/VR, spatial computing, automotive, gaming, CAD, GIS, or other 3D‑rich applications.
  • Familiarity with 3D design or graphics tools such as Spline, Blender, Cinema 4D, Rive, or Unity.
  • Experience with applications that use SceneKit, RealityKit, Three.js, Unity, or similar 3D rendering frameworks.
