Job description

Design the Electrical Systems That Keep Industry Running

Chemelex is a global leader in electric thermal and sensing solutions, protecting the world's critical processes, places and people. With over 50 years of innovation and a commitment to excellence, we develop solutions that ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency in diverse environments - from industrial plants and data centers to people's homes. We deliver future-ready technologies, advanced engineering capabilities and local expertise backed by global standards. Our offering includes a leading portfolio from our trusted brands: Raychem, Tracer, Nuheat and Pyrotenax.

At Chemelex, you'll design the electrical power distribution systems that support some of North America's most critical industrial facilities.

We're looking for an Industrial Design Engineer with experience designing low-voltage industrial electrical power distribution systems who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and wants to see their work move beyond the design phase into construction, commissioning, and operation.

Whether your background comes from industrial power distribution, EPC consulting, manufacturing, oil & gas, mining, utilities, automation, or heavy industrial facilities, you'll have the opportunity to own projects from concept through commissioning while working alongside experienced engineers, project managers, construction teams, customers, and suppliers.

If you enjoy designing electrical systems-not just producing drawings-this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll design and develop low-voltage industrial electrical distribution systems supporting industrial facilities across North America.

You'll work throughout the complete project lifecycle-from initial engineering and equipment selection through installation, startup, and commissioning.

In this role you will:
Design Industrial Electrical Power Systems

  • Produce complete electrical design packages for construction and installation.
  • Assist with field investigations, site walks, equipment surveys, and collection of field data as required.
  • Support the development and maintenance of bills of materials, equipment schedules, cable schedules, and other engineering project documentation.
Drive Engineering Excellence
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC, IEEE, IEC, CSA (where applicable), and customer specifications.
  • Contribute to engineering standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support project schedules, technical documentation, and engineering estimates.
What You Bring

We're looking for engineers who enjoy designing industrial electrical systems and want to remain involved throughout the entire project lifecycle.
