Job summary

Chemelex seeks skilled electricians for construction-site electrical labor. You will read blueprints and wiring diagrams, install electrical conduit per NEC, and work around energized equipment in manufacturing environments.

You must hold a Journeyman or Master Electrician license, have a high school diploma or GED, and be willing to travel up to 90% of the time to job sites nationwide. NCCER certifications are preferred but not required; strong teamwork and safety discipline are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• NCCER certifications preferred but not required.
• Able to work independently and in teams.
• Willingness to travel 90% to job sites nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and wiring diagrams; apply electrical theory to practical applications.
• Install electrical conduit systems according to NEC on and around energized equipment.
• Follow unit electrical/maintenance practices.
• Work in manufacturing environments with stairs, catwalks and extreme temperatures.
• Work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Observe safety rules and wear PPE.
• Read and interpret safety rules and maintenance instructions.
• Supervise journeymen and helpers.
• Manage time entry sheets.

Responsible for electrical labor on a construction job site. Works under superintendent or above; follows instructions within an established process.

Job Requirements & Skills

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Read and interpret blueprints, specifications and wiring diagrams; apply electrical theory to practical applications.
• Work on and around high voltage energized equipment; install various types of Electrical Conduit systems according to NEC.
• Follow all unit electrical / maintenance practices.
• Work in manufacturing environment to include climbing stairs and catwalks as well as extreme heat/cold weather conditions.
• Work rotating shifts, to include weekends and holidays as operating conditions require.
• Observe all safety rules and regulations; wear all personal protective equipment.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of journeymen and helpers.
• Responsible for time entry sheets.

Requirements include but are not limited to:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
• NCCER Certifications preferred but not required.
• Minimum Journeyman, Master Electrician or equivalent license required (any state).
• Minimum 4 years experience; preferably in manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• Motivated self-starter capable of working independently and efficiently.
• Ability to write legible, routine correspondence and to speak effectively as well as coherently with management and other Chemelex employees.
• Knowledge of industrial electricity issues
• Works well within teams.
• 90% travel to job sites around the country.
