Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is hiring a Counter Sales Associate in Fond du Lac, WI. The role focuses on high-energy customer interactions while providing operational support and expertise in industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding equipment, and related supplies.

You will guide customers on tool selections, demonstrate equipment use, and share product quality insights to help customers solve their own project challenges.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in product, warehouse, or sales environments.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in industrial retail, inside sales, or inventory control is a plus.
• Attention to detail in handling transactions.
• Availability for occasional overtime when the team needs extra support.
• Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

Responsibilities

• Advises customers on tools, hardware, and materials needed to complete projects.
• Manages order entry and processes transactions, assists with deposits reconciliation.
• Coordinates via phone, e-mail, and in person with customers and team members for costs and delivery.
• Maintains showroom displays and stocks shelves for a welcoming experience.
• Coordinates cylinder movement and pallet organization between locations.
• Contributes to an outgoing call strategy to support branch growth.
