Job summary

MiTek Industries, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Controls Technician to design, test, improve, and support equipment for the truss manufacturing industry.

You will troubleshoot, update, and support the entire machinery control system from concept to production, collaborating with Electrical, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineers and cross-functional teams. You will work on NFPA79/NEC/UL508A compliant panels, PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, and safety instrumentation, while developing drawings and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with electrical controls systems.
• Advanced diagnostic experience of power distribution, circuit breakers, and terminal blocks.
• Intermediate knowledge with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Experience with PLCs, motor controllers, VFDs, servos, and sensors.
• Experience with safety controllers.

Responsibilities

• Update, evaluate, and support automated industrial machinery products.
• Lead troubleshooting and root cause/corrective actions.
• Create documentation for machinery repairs and troubleshooting.
• Develop and maintain project drawings using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Develop and maintain project documentation (system requirements, manuals, test plans).
• Enter data in MRP/ERP systems and support teams through lifecycle.
• Visit customer sites to troubleshoot machinery and support installations.
