Job summary

McWane, Inc. is seeking an Industrial Electrical Controls Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems and automation equipment within an industrial manufacturing environment.

The role ensures production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably by supporting PLC systems, motor controls, instrumentation, and electrical distribution. Collaborative work with maintenance, engineering and operations teams is essential to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Must be experienced in PLC logic and programming with Allen Bradley and Siemens.
AA in Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechatronics/Industrial Automation preferred plus 2 years’ related experience.
Certification of AB training courses is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain industrial electrical systems and control circuits.
Diagnose issues in PLC systems, motor controls, sensors, drives and automation equipment.
Maintain electrical distribution systems including panels, transformers and power supplies.
Perform wiring, panel modifications and control system upgrades.
Interpret and update schematics, wiring diagrams and manuals.
Troubleshoot PLC hardware and control networks; modify PLC programming as needed.
Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff on controls systems.
