Job summary
Saft is seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Technician to support a range of electrical and electronic control systems on the production floor. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing complex equipment, and collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and approved vendors to install new controls.
Strong PLC and HMI experience, plus automation knowledge, are essential. Responsibilities include maintaining PLC programs, selecting and applying proper test equipment, and ensuring safety
Qualifications
- Experience in programming and troubleshooting PLCs.
- Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting of AC/DC control systems and safety interlocks.
- Experience with Allen Bradley programming in 500/RS Logic.
- Knowledge of HMI platforms and robotics integration.
Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain production equipment and controls.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment, including older controls and installation of new controls.
- Backup and maintain PLC programs in ICT data base.
- Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and vendors on installations.
- Ensure latest software versions for PLCs and equipment.
