Modine Manufacturing Company – Coatings is seeking an Automation and Controls Engineer to lead Industry 4.0 initiatives and automation roadmaps worldwide. The role focuses on standardizing technologies, driving capital automation projects, and delivering continuous plant improvements across four global facilities.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on PLC programming, SCADA/Ignition development, and deep knowledge of electrical control systems, with strong IT/OT collaboration and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 5+ years of Automation and Controls Engineer experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical and PLC troubleshooting.
• Experience with Ignition development and IT/OT protocols.
• Strong project management and cross-functional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an Automation/Industry 4.0 roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Standardize technologies across facilities and specify electrical control systems.
• Manage third-party integrators; conduct FAT/SAT and end-to-end automation projects.
• Ensure safety, maintain electrical drawings, and train maintenance teams.
• Collaborate with IT to secure OT networks.
