Job summary

CBRE in Murray Hill, NJ is seeking an Instrument Control Mechanic to perform a wide range of industrial maintenance, including chiller maintenance, boiler controls, and high voltage power equipment, interfacing with clients, vendors and contractors.

Candidates should hold a high school diploma or GED with technical training or certification and have significant experience maintaining industrial systems; a strong safety record and good communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED and technical degree or relevant industry certification/experience.
• Significant experience maintaining industrial systems.
• Strong safety record with emphasis on tool and equipment usage.
• Basic understanding of computers or related equipment.
• Strong communication skills — both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, repair and installation of motor control centers.
• Maintenance of VFDs.
• Boiler maintenance up to 2175 hp.
• Inspect and calibrate pneumatic, electro-pneumatic and motor operated valves.
• Maintain building steam and chilled water systems.
• Maintain cooling tower gear boxes, fans and related equipment.
• Repair lab equipment and electrical systems.
• Inspect emergency power and fire alarm systems.
• Coordinate with Plant System Specialist on repairs.
