Job summary

HITT Contracting Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial/Industrial Project Manager to lead a newly awarded industrial campus in Hurt, VA. You will coordinate multi-discipline teams, manage budgets, schedules, and RFIs, and drive project success from mobilization through closeout.

The role sits in HITT's Industrial group, overseeing large-scale builds across warehousing, manufacturing, and mission-critical facilities with travel to support site operations and per diem benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; four-year degree from an accredited university in construction, engineering, or business preferred
• In lieu of a degree, additional work experience acceptable
• 5+ years' experience in commercial or industrial construction, including GC experience
• Experience in a project management role responsible for multiple projects
• Mastery of reading construction drawings and related documentation
• Ability to coordinate resources and meet deadlines
• Willingness to travel out of town with per diem support

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety standards and ensure documentation is filed
• Create and manage project budgets for assigned projects
• Develop and collaborate on pre-construction RFP packages
• Lead project meetings; set milestones and owner reports
• Manage RFIs, submittals, pay applications, and change orders
• Perform scheduling; ensure quality control and site logistics
• Oversee closeout processes
• Engage with clients to discuss needs and how services meet them
• Supervise assistant project manager, administrative staff, MEP managers, and safety team
• Collaborate with site operations and project superintendent throughout the life of the project
