The Weitz Company is seeking a Project Engineer II to join our Industrial team in Beaumont, TX. The role involves preconstruction, planning, buyout, and closeout, with travel as needed and supervision of site personnel.

Ideal candidates have an industry-related degree and PM experience; LEAN and OSHA 30 are a plus. Weitz offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits in a growth-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Industry-related degree is required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of construction project management experience preferred.
• LEAN principles experience is desirable.
• OSHA 30 preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Organize, review, update, maintain, and post construction documents/drawings.
• Collaborate with project team to complete RFIs.
• Review submittals and other project documents for accuracy against plans.
• Assist in preparing inspections, compliance audits, and non-conformance logs.
• Manage material and equipment delivery status.
• Maintain and distribute accurate project logs.
• Draft scopes of work for subcontracts/purchase orders.
• Track subcontractor change requests and draft change orders.
• Utilize virtual design tools to assist project coordination.
• Obtain and manage closeout information, punch lists, as-built drawings, and warranty processes.
