Job summary

Insight Global in Macon, GA is seeking a Project Coordinator to support a portfolio of electrical, mechanical, and civil construction projects within an industrial/power generation environment. This role serves as the central communication hub between project managers, contractors, vendors, and plant personnel to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with site requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of hands-on construction experience on industrial projects.
• Experience coordinating field activities with multiple contractors.
• Strong understanding of construction safety and hazard recognition.
• Working knowledge of LOTO procedures and safe work practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
• Experience supporting electrical, mechanical, and civil construction projects.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in an active construction environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities between project managers, contractors, vendors, and plant personnel.
• Attend and document project progress meetings.
• Conduct and participate in daily job safety briefings and toolbox talks.
• Assist with safety inspections, hazard identification, and enforcement of site safety requirements.
• Monitor work activities and support stop-work actions when unsafe conditions are identified.
• Track project labor, equipment, materials, and contractor productivity.
• Maintain and manage construction permits and related project documentation.
• Coordinate deliveries, vendor access, and material staging activities.
• Support project schedules by helping resolve field issues and communication gaps.
• Review project drawings, specifications, and P&IDs to support project execution.
• Ensure project documentation is current, organized, and compliant with company standards.
