Job summary

Hargrove and Associates, Inc is seeking a Construction Coordinator in McIntyre, GA to support ongoing client projects. You will coordinate field activities with site engineering, maintenance, and outside contractors for capital projects and repairs, ensuring compliance with safety standards, MSHA/OSHA rules, and project specifications.

The role emphasizes permitting, contractor screening via Avetta, and ensuring safe practice with a strong focus on site safety and documentation.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in an industrial construction coordination role.
Strong knowledge of MSHA/OSHA rules and site safety requirements.

Responsibilities

Coordinate day-to-day field permitting activities for contracted services across civil, mechanical, electrical, and construction trades.
Work with Project Manager and maintenance to assess constructability of ideas.
Ensure contractor approvals via Avetta before work on site.
Conduct safety-focused site observations and enforce EH&S guidelines.
Review and explain safety rules to bidding contractors at pre-bid meetings.
Maintain contractor files, safety manuals, and 5S housekeeping practices.
Assist with cost control for time & material contracts and change orders.
