Job summary

Moore Industries in Baton Rouge, LA, is seeking a Buildings Project Manager to lead industrial and commercial building projects from preconstruction to closeout. You will coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets, schedules, and safety, and ensure client satisfaction on lump-sum and design-build initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in construction PM, a CM/Engineering/Architecture degree or equivalent, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience managing lump-sum construction projects.
• Experience with design-build or design-assist delivery.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, contracts.

Responsibilities

• Manage buildings projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop strong relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, vendors, and teams.
• Lead planning with Superintendent to set execution milestones.
• Manage budgets, costs, change orders, and billing.
• Develop and maintain project schedules; anticipate delays and recovery plans.
• Coordinate disciplines (architecture, structure, MEP, etc.) throughout lifecycle.
• Review drawings, specs, contracts to ensure scope and requirements.
• Lead meetings; communicate on schedule, cost, quality, procurement, design issues.
• Identify risks early and craft mitigation plans.
• Support safety and quality programs and project documentation.
