Moore Industries is seeking an experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of industrial civil construction projects in Baton Rouge, LA. You will oversee safety, quality, schedule, cost, productivity, client relationships, subcontractor management, and financial results across preconstruction to closeout.

The role requires 5+ years in industrial/heavy civil project management, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate self-perform and subcontracted

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of construction project management experience, preferably industrial/heavy civil/self-perform.
• Experience managing civil scopes such as structural concrete, foundations, earthwork, utilities, drainage, paving or site development.
• Strong understanding of means/methods, field operations, scheduling, cost control, and project financials.
• Experience with self-perform construction crews is strongly preferred.
• Ability to read civil/structural drawings and specifications.
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage industrial civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Lead project planning with superintendents and field leadership, including sequencing, manpower, equipment, and logistics.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, commitments, change orders, billing, and overall financial performance.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and short-term planning requirements.
• Monitor field productivity and costs; identify trends and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate self-perform work, subcontractors, vendors and other partners.
• Review drawings, contracts, scopes of work to identify requirements, risks, and opportunities.
• Procure materials/equipment/subcontracted services to support execution.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, project docs, and client communications.
• Maintain strong client relations and stakeholder communications regarding scope, schedule and costs.
• Partner with superintendents to resolve field challenges and ensure efficient execution.
• Ensure work aligns with plans, specs, quality requirements and Moore Industries standards.
• Promote safety culture and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
• Participate in turnover from estimating/preconstruction to understand scope and risks.
• Lead project closeout, punch lists, final billing, and lessons learned.
• Build strong relationships with clients, subs, vendors and internal teams.
