Job summary

Austin Industrial in Channelview, TX is seeking a Boilermaker to construct, assemble, maintain and repair boilers on-site. You will read blueprints, weld components, and test assemblies in a heavy industrial setting.

Minimum 3 years of journeyman experience is required, along with NCCER, TWIC and a valid driver's license. This is a full-time, on-site position with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Journeyman-level experience.
• NCCER-BM Press Vessel certification (as listed).
• TWIC card and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Examine boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, or vats to locate defects and repair.
• Bolt or arc welds pressure vessel structures and parts together.
• Inspect vessels or components to locate defects and repair or replace parts.
• Install refractory bricks or heat-resistant materials in boiler fireboxes.
• Lay out plates and fittings per blueprints; work with hand tools and welding equipment.
• Assist in testing assembled vessels and ensure leakproof joints.
