Job summary

Nestlé USA's Anderson, Indiana facility is seeking an Industrial Automation Technician to troubleshoot, commission, and maintain PLC/HMI systems across high‑efficiency packaging lines. You'll document electrical and control system changes, analyze data to reduce unplanned downtime, and actively participate in KPI driven pillar activities.

The role supports a 12‑hour shift schedule with potential overtime to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Associate degree/technical certificate in related field and/or 3-5 years of equivalent experience. Manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience with automation systems for building, facility, packaging, utility, and process controls preferred.
Experience with PLC Software – Studio 5000 and/or Siemens Software – TIA Portal.
Experience with HMI systems, preferably Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk View or Aveva (Wonderware).

Responsibilities

Execute real time troubleshooting and problem solving with maintenance/Operations team and follow-up on issues to ensure completion and address root causes.
Support maintenance troubleshooting and line maintenance as needed.
Ensure accurate documentation of all electrical and automation platforms, equipment and unplanned machine stops.
Analyze performance data to improve electrical and automation equipment unplanned stops.
Participate in Pillar Activities, AWG, MWG, IWG, and maintaining KPIs.
