Job summary

Pentair plc is seeking an Automation Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift in Hanover Park, IL. You will support production lines with technical expertise, troubleshoot robotics and automation equipment, and collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure proper installation and running of systems.

GMP standards, lean practices, and continuous improvement are emphasized, with growth opportunities as new equipment enters production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
• Able to utilize digital multimeter or oscilloscope.
• Experience with electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic/mechanical blueprints and schematics.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing equipment.
• Experience in robotics programming, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
• Identify root causes and make proactive recommendations for improved operation.
• Basic working knowledge of PLC programming and ladder logic.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing production lines with technical expertise to ensure operations meet business objectives.
• Provide guidance to operators, cell leads, and Production Manager regarding projects and process improvements.
• Troubleshoot robotics, conveyors, coaters, labelers, and presses.
• Install and commission robotics and automation equipment within the facility.
• Maintain GMP standards and participate in continuous improvement activities and Kaizen circles.
• Grow skills as new equipment is introduced to manufacturing processes.
• Identify root causes and develop strategies to eliminate downtime.
