Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking an Automation/Controls Technician for the 2nd shift to assist engineers and technicans in building custom automation equipment. You will interpret designs, assemble and test equipment, and wire or plumb machines with supervision.

Ideal candidates have hands-on repair experience, 5+ years in a mechanic/manufacturing environment, and a willingness to learn PLC/robotic coding alongside a team of engineers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on repair and maintenance experience in mechanical/manufacturing environments.
• AS in engineering/technology or equivalent is a plus.
• Willingness to attend training to expand knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic, and PLC/Robotic coding.

Responsibilities

• Interpret designs and draw from SolidWorks drawings to assemble automation equipment.
• Organize materials and manage project layouts, dimensions, and assembly methods.
• Wire and plumb machines under guidance, set up basic automation electronics and sensors.
• Operate machine tools (lathes, milling) and welding equipment, verifying conformance to specs.
