Job summary

SMC Corporation seeks an Application Specialist to deliver technical expertise and support for industrial automation solutions across the Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana region. Regular travel within the territory is required to support customers.

You will train sales teams, assist with major projects, and collaborate with customers and internal engineers to tailor automation solutions and ensure successful deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Advanced industrial automation product and application experience with SMC or equivalent industry.
• Experience with competitive product and applications.
• Extensive SMC application knowledge or equivalent industry.
• Proficient in CRM and the use of computers; ability to learn new programs and tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and guidance to clients during implementation.
• Identify and close major revenue-producing projects.
• Collaborate with clients and internal engineering teams to design and customize automation solutions.
• Deliver training sessions and workshops for clients' engineering and operations teams.
• Maintain SalesConnect CRM records for meetings and opportunities.
