Job summary

OTC Industrial Technologies is seeking an Industrial Automation Sales Representative to own and grow a territory across City of Industry, CA, selling machine control, motion control, safety systems, and robotics. You will work with a dedicated support team to spend 80% of your time in front of customers.

As a hunter with a technical background, you will manage an existing base, build regional growth strategies, and collaborate with engineers and product specialists to co-sell complex solutions.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or 3+ years of successful industrial distribution or technical sales experience.
• Ability to fluidly interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, technical manuals, and vendor catalogs.
• Proven track record of year-over-year sales growth and account acquisition.
• Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• High resilience, self-motivation, and the ability to independently manage a territory with a customer-first mindset.
• Proficient with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite; valid driver’s license; comfortable in industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Grow your territory through strategic sales calls and localized plans to exceed annual goals.
• Build relationships and pipeline; establish trust at all organizational levels and maintain a predictable forecast.
• Sell collaboratively with in-house engineers and product specialists to present complex automation solutions.
• Stay ahead of market trends in robotics and Industry 4.0 to position OTC as a forward-thinking authority.
• Maintain organized activity and client interaction logs in the CRM.
