Job summary

Shepherd Controls in Oklahoma is seeking a driven sales professional to join our team as a field-based representative for industrial automation products. You will build relationships with new and existing customers, develop accounts, and demonstrate solutions that connect technical capabilities to business outcomes.

You’ll work with internal solutions teams and supplier partners, manage a healthy sales pipeline in Salesforce, and travel within the territory to grow market share.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial automation, controls, robotics, or related technical field.
• Technical B2B or outside sales experience required.
• Engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or applications experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a basic understanding of the product lines represented and the industrial automation market.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers to grow the territory.
• Prospect and develop new accounts through targeted outreach and networking.
• Provide customers with live product demonstrations.
• Collaborate with internal solutions group and supplier partners to develop automation solutions.
• Present solutions connecting technical capabilities to business outcomes.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline in Salesforce.
