Shepherd Controls in Houston is looking for a driven sales professional to join our team. We are a distributor of industrial automation products and solutions, helping manufacturers solve real-world challenges through automation.

You will develop relationships, build a pipeline, deliver live product demonstrations, and collaborate with supplier partners to tailor solutions that connect technical capabilities to business outcomes.

Qualifications

Industrial automation, controls, robotics, or related technical experience.
Technical B2B or outside sales experience.
Engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or applications experience.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field—or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain a basic understanding of the product lines we represent, as well as the industrial automation industry as a whole.
Build relationships with new and existing customers to grow your territory.
Prospect and develop new accounts through targeted outreach, leads, and networking.
Provide customers with live product demonstrations.
Collaborate with our internal solutions group and supplier partners to develop solutions using Shepherd's broad automation portfolio.
Present solutions that connect technical capabilities to real business outcomes.
Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline in Salesforce.
