Job summary

Shepherd Controls is seeking a driven sales professional for our San Antonio team. We are a distributor of industrial automation products and solutions, helping manufacturers solve real-world automation challenges to make operations smarter and more productive.

You will develop product knowledge, build customer relationships, prospect for new accounts, and deliver live demonstrations while collaborating with our solutions group and supplier partners.

Qualifications

• Industrial automation/controls/robotics or related technical experience.
• Technical B2B or outside sales experience.
• Engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, or applications experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a basic understanding of the product lines and the automation industry.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers to grow the territory.
• Prospect and develop new accounts through targeted outreach, leads, and networking.
• Provide customers with live product demonstrations.
• Collaborate with internal solutions group and supplier partners to develop solutions using Shepherd’s automation portfolio.
• Present solutions linking technical capabilities to business outcomes.
• Build and manage a healthy sales pipeline in Salesforce.
