Job summary

ICS Online, a leader in industrial control panels and factory automation, is seeking an Automation Specialist in California. You will design control systems, program PLC/HMI, configure networks, and support startup and commissioning across customer sites.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, experience with PLCs/HMI/SCADA, and travel to client sites. Strong problem solving and communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field.
• Experience with industrial control systems and information systems.
• Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Design control systems and select hardware/software.
• Create electrical drawings and documentation.
• Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications.
• Configure industrial networks and system infrastructure.
• Support startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Analyze existing systems and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with engineers and customers to capture requirements.
• Translate specifications into automation solutions and code.
• Develop data migration tools for upgrades.
• Establish testing environments and perform testing.
• Provide status updates in project meetings.
• Deliver training and technical support to users.
• Prepare project reports and documentation.
