Job summary

Enterprise Automation in Irvine, CA is seeking an entry-level Controls Engineer I to design, implement, test, commission, and maintain automation systems. You will focus on PLC and HMI programming, SCADA, industrial networking, and integration of IT/OT infrastructure.

This in-office role includes onboarding via EA University, travel to client sites as needed, and collaboration on multiple projects across water, chemical, life sciences, and manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering is required.
• Preferred disciplines: chemical, electrical, mechanical, controls or automation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement PLC, HMI, and OIT programs.
• Support development and configuration of SCADA systems.
• Design and implement IT/OT network infrastructure.
• Contribute to engineering services including design, testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• Ensure project execution aligns with engineering practices and documentation standards.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously and manage schedules and budgets.
