Job summary

Cleanwater1 seeks an Automation Specialist to design and implement industrial control and information system solutions. You will program PLC and HMI applications, configure networks, and support system startup and troubleshooting, collaborating with engineers and customers.

Responsibilities include creating drawings, preparing documentation, and developing data migration tools for upgrades and new implementations, with travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, Controls Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
• Experience with industrial control systems, automation technologies, and information systems.
• Knowledge of industrial networks, databases, PLCs, HMIs, and/or SCADA systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Design control systems, including hardware and software selection.
• Create electrical and mechanical drawings and documentation.
• Develop and maintain PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications.
• Configure industrial networks and related system infrastructure.
• Perform system startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Review and analyze existing automation systems for improvements.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and customers to understand requirements.
• Translate specifications into automation solutions and software code.
• Develop data migration tools to support upgrades and implementations.
• Establish testing environments and execute thorough tests.
• Participate in project meetings and provide status updates.
• Deliver technical support and training to end users.
