Job summary

ifm efector, Inc. in Malvern, PA, USA, seeks an Application Engineer to review customers' technical needs and recommend sensor and control solutions within ifm's product area.

You will estimate costs, consult with the sales force, and ensure solutions integrate with existing systems described by cross-functional engineers. Responsibilities include supporting technical inquiries via phone, email, Webchat and Teams, promoting ifm products, and developing online digital support content.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a 2-year technical degree.
• A 4-year technical degree strongly preferred.
• Experience with sensors and controls for a manufacturer or related industry required.
• Machine repair or maintenance experience with industrial equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support customer technical inquiries via phone, email, Webchat and Teams.
• Promote ifm products to customers when applicable.
• Identify areas to continuously improve Customer Support process.
• Develop Digital Technical Support Content for online customer support.
• Perform order entry, quoting, stock checking, invoicing when needed.
• Learn products in the Complex Product Line.
